This is a quick and easy recipe. When I want the taste on bangers and mash or a Vegan Sausage sandwich this is great.
1-cup wheat gluten
½-cup nutritional yeast
¼ cup gram flour (chickpea flour)
1 teaspoon dried sage
1-teaspoon garlic granules
1-teaspoon course ground black pepper
1-teaspoon hot pepper sauce (optional) or red chilli finely chopped.
1-cup vegetable stock (vegan)
2 teaspoon tamari or soy sauce
1-teaspoon olive oil
Add all the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Make a well add a little of the stock (add tamari sauce to stock) at a time until you have a dough texture. Add olive oil and knead (just a few seconds).
Take pieces of dough a roll into sausage shapes. Place each sausage into a piece of foil and wrap loosely twisting the ends.
Place in a steamer and steam for 10 mins.
Once cooked remove the foil and fry sausages until brown on the outside.
