Almond Milk

Almond Milk is an alternative to diary milk. With a delicious and creamy consistency. great for people who are lactose intolerant it not just for Vegans

  • 300g whole raw almonds
  • 1 litre filtered water
  • 1 tablespoon agave or 4 pitted dates
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or 1/2 vanilla pod)
  • Muslin cloth or nut bag to strain liquid
  • Large bowl or jug

Method

Best to soak Almonds overnight in water.

Place soaked Almonds in a liquidiser or vitamix with 1 litre of water, dates or agave (or both if you like it sweet) and vanilla and process until you get a creamy white milky liquid.

Strain liquid through the muslin cloth and squeeze as much liquid from the pulp as possible into bowl.

Pulp can been re-used in cookies etc.

Add almond milk to jug or bottle

Before serving chill and shake or stir before pouring into glass and sprinkle with cinnamon.
